Integrated Pest Management Project
The Marin County Parks 2015 Integrated Pest Management (IPM) was put together in an effort to better the conditions of the 147 parks managed by the Marin County Parks organization. It is designed to control pests in Marin County parks. The goals of the project are to control the pests that preside in our local area, and in doing so keeping our parks healthy. Through the work of this community project, the loss or infection of native plants and animals by eradicate invasive vegetation such as French broom, Scotch broom, thistles, fennel, and non-native grasses will be minimized in a clean manner. Pesticides, which have the capability to contaminate our food and water, are not used in this project.
It is very important for us to take action to keep our Marin Parks beautiful and thriving. Without our parks, we would lose a big part of what makes Marin so beautiful.
